9 tips to work with the headhunters in Switzerland
That was a very interesting post. I tried loking online for some recruiting agencies, however my search was not very successful. Which places do you think I should contact around Lenzburg, Zurich, Bern and Basel? I look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Sylwia
Hi Sylwia, you need to select carefully the recruiters you want to work with and invest time with them. 3 possibilities to select them ( you can do them all;-) - Contact people working at jobs and companies you like and ask them to recommend good recruiters they have already been working with. - Look on job boards/linkedIn who are the recruiters posting the jobs you like. - Visit career fairs and make personal connection with HH. Good luck! Sandrine
Dear Sandrine, many thanks for your helpful tips shared in that blog. i have 2 problems and hope that you can advise some solutions : - i am a high caliber mid level manager (all my 15 year professional touristic experience was in Egypt . i have moved to Poland 2 years ago and got the polish nationality .now it is time to find a respectable job yet the problem is : 1- whenever i read a job requirement i feel that they want to hire Mr superman .no human being can have all these personal and professional qualities !!(i know that they are looking for the best candidates but really it is going too far , i feel that i can do 70 or 80 percent of the requirement
2- i think really to change my career to any manual job (even cleaning ) how come a welder gets 16 euro per hour and a c.s. mgr get the same or less !!!!why did we go to university , learn and toil ???
Imagine you would have your own company: What kind of people would you be looking for? The best wouldn't you? They'd have to be technical experts but customer oriented. Fluent in the local language but speaking 3 additional languages Of course you only want honest, respectful, independent, hands-on, self motivated people in your own business?
I think you got my point: In today's economy where you need to over-perform, stretch your targets, reach excellence, good companies can not afford no to hire the best people.
That's your task as a jobseeker to demonstrate you are the best for the job they need. And if you succeed in demonstrating this; salary discussion gets much easier.
I do not say that it is an easy task... job4U2 offers career support to the accompanying partners in Switzerland because, not only you need to be the best, but you need to be able to communicate it.
