Job search: Deploying your network on LinkedIn

Each week, on the job4U2 Circle, I share some ideas about networking places.

In the last weeks, idea proposals were:
  •        Expats Business Networking Events at BERNEXPO in Bern
  •        Cantons expat network events ( eg. Bern expat breakfast)
  •        Swonet chill out in Fribourg
  •        …and many others

This week idea is a little bit different and is replaced by a virtual networking exercise proposal!

I proposed to all the job4U2 members to take advantage of this group to grow their linkedIn network, by connecting with each other.

Why: to be efficient, your linkedIn network should count a very minimum of 60 first level connections (ideally in area of interest; Switzerland)

The more you have SECOND LEVEL connections, the more visibility you have on linkedIn members of interest. This is really useful when preparing for an application; you can find out who is doing what, see their background, their education and sometime their full job description...
